Karachi placed last in Safe Cities Index 2017

KARACHI: Karachi was placed at the last spot in The Economist Intelligence Unit’s The Safe Cities Index 2017.

The Pakistani city has been placed at No. 60 in the list with score of 38.77 points.

The city has been given the last spot due poor health structure and law order situation.

Tokyo, Singapore, Osaka, Toronto, Melbourne, Amsterdam, Sydney, Stockholm, Hong Kong and Zurich were placed in top 10 in the list.

Karachi was ranked better than Dhaka as far as infrastructure security was concerned.

According to the list, Sindh’s capital was declared worst as far as security of citizens is concerned.
