Bold Magazine is committed to respecting the privacy. The types of donor information we collect and maintain are as follows:
- Contact information: name, address, telephone number and email address
- Giving history
- Interactions with BOLD: events attended, products purchased, comments
We use donors’ information to understand their interests in our mission and to update them on the organization’s plans and activities.
information is shared with staff, board members, volunteers, and consultants only on a “need-to-know” basis.
We do not share lists or sell them to third parties. We do share subscriber mailing lists with select, like-minded organizations. Some subscribers are also donors but are not identified as such on shared lists. Individuals are welcome to remove their names from any lists that might be shared by contacting customer service or logging into their online account.

We are committed to transparency in funding our organization.
Accepting financial support does not mean we endorse donors or their products, services or opinions.
We accept gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, organizations and foundations to help with our general operations, coverage of specific topics, and special projects.
We will not accept donations from government entities or political parties of illegal content. We will not accept donations from sources who, deemed by our board of directors, present a conflict of interest with our work or compromise our independence.
Because some of our donors prefer to remain anonymous, we do accept anonymous donations and we honor donors’ wishes to remain anonymous when we publicly list. On those lists, we disclose the number of anonymous donors in each category.
All of our news judgments are made independently. They are never based on or influenced. We do not give supporters the rights to assign, review or edit content.
