Sri Lanka rout Indian batting in 1st ODI

DHARAMSALA: India were all out for just 112 runs in the first one-day international against Sri Lanka at Dharamsala on Sunday, Samaa reported.

The Indian team, without Virat Kohli in today’s match, fell like a pack of cards in the game as eight of their 11 batsmen failed to score in double figures.

Only former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni provided resistance to the Sri Lankan bowling as he played a knock of 65 runs from 87 balls which included 10 fours and two sixes.

Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya made 19 and 10 runs respectively for the team.

Suranga Lakmal was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors as he finished with 10-4-13-4 while Nuwan Pradeep grabbed two wickets. Angelo Mathews, Thisara Parera, Akila Dananjaya and Sachith Pathirana grabbed a wicket each in the match.

Sri Lanka require 113 runs in 50 overs with a required run rate of 2.26 per over.
