Starting to develop a much better relationship with Pakistan: Trump

President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, tweeted on Sunday that he had started to develop a much better relationship with Pakistan and its leaders.

Tweets from the American president praising Pakistan are quite rare especially since during the last few months he’s taken a hawkish stance against the country over terrorism.

In his latest tweet though, Trump claims that he’s starting to develop a much better relationship with Pakistan and its leaders.

“I want to thank them for their cooperation on many fronts,” read his tweet.

The US president had also thanked Pakistan a couple of days ago when an American-Canadian couple and their three children were rescued by Pakistan’s armed forces.

“This is a positive moment for our country’s relationship with Pakistan. The Pakistani government’s cooperation is a sign that it is honouring America’s wishes for it to do more to provide security in the region,” a statement from White House quoted Trump as saying.
